This course was designed with Sian Aggett (NCCPE) to be an introductory overview of participatory and engaged research. It provides participants with an understanding of some of the basic concepts, terminology, approaches and potential applications of these approaches.
The course is practice-led, and participants work in small groups to develop and practice participatory research processes as part of the programme. The participants are invited to bring their own participatory project and develop it within the training and through follow-up tasks set at the end of each session. We will provide resources and tools to support participatory and engaged research, and participants will be encouraged to share their own resources and practices.
